Energy Trust of Oregon

Strategic Energy Management Video Case Studies

Description

Between 2015 and 2020, Sheepscot Creative produced eight testimonial videos featuring customers enrolled in Energy Trust of Oregon’s Strategic Energy Management and Building Operator Certification programs. Each showcased the value, savings and efficiency that SEM can provide, often in unexpected ways.

We interviewed leadership and staff—and filmed extensively, using handheld cameras and drones—at Meduri Farms (Polk County), Medford Public Schools (Jackson County), Boise Cascade/Kinzua Lumber (Umatilla County), Legacy Health (Multnomah County), Umpqua Community College (Douglas County), and several more organizations.

In each instance, we worked with Energy Trust to develop a creative brief, frame interview questions, and coordinate with the customer’s staff to arrange a site visit.  On location, Sheepscot ran the shoots (scouting the facility, composing interview setups, managing light and sound, etc.), but Energy Trust staff always stayed on-hand to oversee our work and chime in with ideas and suggestions.  About three weeks later, we’d present a rough cut, and after three rounds of revision we’d deliver a final cut with all associated assets.

Prosper Portland

Local Business Profiles

Description

Approximately twice a month, Prosper Portland sends Sheepscot to a Portland-based company that has recently re-committed itself to doing business in the city. We leverage those visits to produce engaging, timely content that helps Prosper supply media outlets with professional photographs and compelling stories to counter the lazy, simplistic narrative that businesses can’t thrive in Portland.

While on site, we interview the company’s principals about what Portland means to their business, and what it means to do business in Portland. They give us a tour of their space, where we conduct a photo shoot of the office, manufacturing center, or storefront.

A quick list of our favorite stops so far would have to include Bora Architects, Danner, Bauman’s Cider, Alta Planning, and, most recently, Ruby Jewel. It’s going to be hard to beat touring an ice cream sandwich factory.

On-site photography captures the range and breadth of innovative businesses that call Portland home.

Interviews and photo essays, published monthly in Prosper Portland’s email newsletter and across its social media feeds.

Tree for All

Communications Strategy and Photography

Description

Tree for All is a partnership among more than forty public, private and nonprofit organizations dedicated to watershed health in Oregon's Tualatin Valley. Members range from Clean Water Services to Intel and Friends of Trees.

Since 2014, Sheepscot has been directing Tree for All’s communication. We built and continue to maintain the program’s website and social feeds. We’ve produced and published dozens of videos (testimonial and otherwise) and thousands of photographs. We capture aerial and hand-held footage at project sites in all seasons to show the impact of projects that protect the Tualatin Watershed's health. Our work helps Tree for All partners articulate the collaborative mission to residents, regulators, partners and peers.

Sheepscot documents Tree for All’s efforts through a series of video features.

Sheepscot designed, developed and maintains Tree for All’s website and library of case studies.

Thousands of photographs document Tree for All’s habitat restoration sites.
