The Gordon House Conservancy

Located within the Oregon Garden in Silverton, the Gordon House is the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed property in Oregon.

The Gordon House Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the house’s preservation, hired Sheepscot to design and build a website that reflects the property’s historic status while modernizing the site’s ticketing and membership sales experience.

DISCOVERY

Sheepscot led the Conservancy’s project team through a Discovery process to prioritize key audiences, review the websites of other Frank Lloyd Wright properties, and advance the organization’s digital communication goals.

We visited the house and pored through the Conservancy’s extensive collection of historical materials, learning about the home’s original residents and the building’s fascinating, structure-saving 2001 relocation from Wilsonville to Silverton.

WEBSITE

What resulted was a beautiful, minimalist site that celebrates the architectural beauty of the Gordon House, educates the public, and provides clear pathways to purchase tickets and memberships, book overnight stays and private events, and buy select gift shop items.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Our work also included extensive photography of the house’s interior details, aerial views of the grounds and examples of Frank Lloyd Wright’s signature architectural style.
